The Mysteries of Joe Puma

So I know that the quirkiness surrounding Joe (now coined "Puma Style") is very well known. But there are other lesser known oddities about Joseph, such as his inability to close his legs while sitting down and his incorrect pronunciation of the word "forward". These are small things though that most people wouldn't notice unless you are in the continued presence of Joseph.

Well, tonight I think we found out another strange tidbit about Joe. Rick, Kelly, Joe, and I were sitting around the dining room table talking about what we could and not do.... things such as whistling, rolling R's, and snapping. Joe and I could not whistle and Kelly could not roll her R's. Joe was also the only one who could not snap.

He went ahead and demonstarted his inability to snap for us. He raised his arms over his head and then swung them down with a lot of force while making some kind of motion with his fingers.

He did this really quickly, but we could all tell that he was doing something strange.
We asked him to slow down.
He could not slow down.

Finally, he was able to control himself and we all got a good look at Joe's "snap".

Apparently for 21 years Joseph Puma has thought that a snapping movement was basically the same movement as flipping a coin... without the coin. He would press the tip of his thumb against his pointer finger and then flick it upwards. This was why his fingers were not making any sound and he could not snap.

We instructed him on the proper way to snap and he has started improving already.

Although he is not a great snapper yet, he is on his way.

Poor Joe. I wonder why no one ever corrected him before?

Doesn't that make you wonder what other things you are doing wrong?

I remember I used to think that "Pancake" was pronounced "Panacake" and I was really sad when I found out the truth.

Hmm...
