"What to do, what to do?"
I looked across the table to Nick. He was sitting so nicely. I looked down at my cup again. About 1/5 of the water was left in the bottom.
"I don't want this..."
Without thinking, I flung the rest of the water right into Nicholas' face and then quickly covered my mouth as he yelled in surprise and the entire table turned to look.
"Shit."
Nick glared at me. Shereen giggled off in the distance.
"I'm going to the bathroom now and when I get back you better be gone."
My heart raced as I jumped out of my chair and ran out the glass doors and into Shereen's CRV.
I watched as they all slowly made their way out of Donut King. The bathroom door was still shut.
"Hurry, hurry... he'll be out any second."
Monica, Susannah, and Shereen get in just as Nick exists the bathroom. He picks up pace as I quickly go to lock all door. He's outside!
Nick lunges for the driver's door and I swiftly slam down the lock as we all scream.
"Joe, shit, Joe!"
Joe's made his way over to the passenger side and is hitting the window to be let in. Should I risk it? Nick's right on the other side.
I decide to let Joe in, I reach over to unlock the door, but he pulls on the handle at the same time. I try again, losing precious seconds.
Nick has given up on the driver's side and is running around the back of the car. Joe finally hops in and goes to pull the door shut. Nick's quickly approaching.
"FILTH! I'LL GET YOU!"
A wet paper towel smacks the window as Joe frantically pushes down the lock. Nick hits the window and then gets an evil look in his eye.
"What's he going to do?" Shereen asks.
And then with horror, I watch him pucker his lips and spit all over the backseat window. He then takes his finger and starts smearing it around. I almost throw up.
"GO!"
Shereen throws the server in reverse, and we peel out, but not before the windshield is also covered with Nick's saliva. The wipers smear it, again making me want to hurl.
We all drive down Lindsey laughing hysterically. My stomach begins to ache from laughing so hard. We approach O'Connels. All of a sudden, we look to our right and see Nick in his Explorer right next to us. He's yelling through the open window.
"STUPID SLOP!"
Suddenly, he starts sending this projectile spit over to our moving car somehow. It goes against the wind and splatters on the window right next to Susannah.
We all begin hysterically screaming and laughing again as we turn right on Classen and observe Nicholas continuing down Lindsey in the rear view mirror, but not before spitting on our car one last time.
Did I ever tell you that I don't like spit?
